Artist Statement
Feminine Fire. This vivid semi-abstract acrylic painting is an exploration of the divine power women intrinsically inhibit. I find it to be a calumny that society has women raised to believe that their worth and their power only come from how others perceive them or the value they can add to a man. Very few times is a womans inherit power recognized. it is now. This painting is unapologetic in its portrayal of the immense power women hold. It’s so immense that it rages like fire— a fire that lies within the soul. Within the very essense of the woman’s being. So, it is now clear that her power was never given to her by the world and likewise the world could never take it way.
